The Tablelands, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, Canada

The Tablelands are an accessible piece of the earth's mantle that was pushed to the surface 470 million years ago when two tectonic plates collided. The high mineral concentration accounts for the very limited and slow growth of life. One definitely feels a primordial connection while in the Tablelands.
